A tornado struck northern Texas late Thursday, causing multiple deaths and destroying homes, according to a report by The Associated Press.
The storm hit Granbury, a small town near Fort Worth, at around 8 p.m. local time, the report said. A local news station, WFAA-TV, reported that homes had been damaged and cars had been turned upside down. Police officers and firefighters were âcombing through the wreckage, going home to home making sure there are no additional victims,â WFAA-TV reported.
An official with the Hood County sheriffâs department did not immediately return a call seeking details late Thursday.
